PLASTRON 05 K
Metal separator for installation on injection-moulding machines and extruders
Metal separators of the PLASTRON 05 K type are used for the examination of plastic granulates, ground material or powders in slowly flowing material columns. They separate metal at the inlet of injection-moulding machines, extruders or blow-moulding machines. Even in the basic version, the device can examine material with temperatures up to 120 °C. This series is complemented with devices for even higher temperatures or abrasive products.
P-TRON 05 GM
Metal separator with separation diverter for integration into pneumatic conveyor lines
Metal separators of the P-TRON 05 GM type are used for the examination of granulates, ground material or powders in pneumatic conveying lines. Versions for horizontal and vertical installation, as well as for high product temperatures after the dryer, are available. The systems can also be specially approved for potentially explosive areas. The P-TRON 03 FM is available for intermittent suction conveyor lines with short conveyor cycles. A pendulum flap replaces the crimping valves or rotary flaps of the P-TRON 05 GM here.

This beam traverses through the material, and a highly sensitive ion chamber swiftly detects the radiation's attenuation. The resulting attenuated signal, which corresponds to material thickness or basis weight variations, undergoes linearization. This converted signal is then presented as a precise measurement on the operator's console.
